Yummy Key Lime Bars

Serves: 12 Bars
- Crust:
- 3 cups finely ground graham cracker crumbs
- ⅔ cup sugar
- 12 tablespoons melted butter
- Filling:
- 2 14-oz cans sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 ½ cups fresh squeezed key lime juice
- 2 tsp key lime zest
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Key lime slices (optional)
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Spray a baking pan (approximately 12 in x 9 in x 2 in) with nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar and melted butter until well combined.
- Press mixture into baking pan and bake for about 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and allow crust to cool for about 10 minutes.
- In a separate large bowl, whisk together sweetened condensed milk, sour cream, lime juice, and lime zest until smooth and creamy.
- Pour mixture into the baking pan directly over the graham cracker crust.
- Use a spatula to make sure the mixture is spread evenly over the crust.
- Bake for about 8 minutes or until tiny bubbles begin to form on the surface.
- Once bubbles begin to appear, remove immediately from oven.
- Bars should not be brown on top.
- Allow entire baking pan to chill for at least one hour in refrigerator before slicing bars into squares.
- Dollop each square with whipped cream and garnish with key lime slices.
