Cheesy Texas Toast

Ingredients
  • 1 fresh baguette of choice
  • ½ cup softened butter
  • ¼ cup mayo
  • 1 tbsp fresh minced garlic
  • ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp fresh ground pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and prepare large baking sheet covered in foil.
  2. Slice baguette in half length-wise and set aside.
  3. In the bowl of a standup mixer with paddle attachment, combine butter, mayo and garlic on low until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add remaining ingredients and mix until combined evenly.
  5. Use a spatula to evenly spread butter mixture evenly on both sides of baguette.
  6. Place both halves of baguette on prepared baking sheet and bake for about 12 minutes or until cheese has melted and begins to turn golden brown.
  7. Remove from oven and slice into individual portions as desired.
  8. Serve immediately.
