Ultimate Chocolate Lava Cake

Ingredients
  • 6 ounces of butter
  • 6 ounces of baking chocolate
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 2 egg yolks
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons to butter ramekins
  • powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
  1. Melt together chocolate and butter in a small bowl in the microwave.
  2. Melt for 30 seconds and stir, and repeat until chocolate and butter are melted and mixture is smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar until they are foamy.
  4. Add chocolate mixture to egg mixture.
  5. Stir in vanilla extract, salt, and flour.
  6. Grease ramekins with butter.
  7. Pour batter into dishes.
  8. Cover dishes with plastic and refrigerate for about 30 minutes, you can refrigerate these for up to 4 hours.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 to 15 minutes.
  10. The tops will be firm, but the insides will be melting.
  11. Dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm with a scoop of ice cream.
