Ingredients
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter at room temperature
  • 1 ¼ cups sugar
  • 3 tbs honey
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 tsp almond extract
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl of an electric mixer fitted with paddle attachment, combine butter, sugar, honey, eggs and almond extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together all dry ingredients except cocoa.
  4. Add dry mixture to wet mixture and mix on low speed for one minute until all ingredients are combined.
  5. Pour half the batter into the greased loaf pan.
  6. Add cocoa to remaining batter in bowl and mix on slow speed until batter has a smooth brown color.
  7. Pour chocolate batter over original batter.
  8. Bake for about one hour or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Allow to cool on baking rack.
