Chewy Cranberry Chip Cookies
- ¾ cup vegetable shortening
- 1¼ cups firmly packed light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1¾ cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¾ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Combine first five ingredients with electric mixer on medium.
- Gradually add flour, salt, and baking soda until dough is thick.
- Add chocolate chips and cranberries and turn off mixer after a moment.
- Use a small cookie scooper to scoop cookie dough onto a non-stick baking pan about one inch apart.
- Bake for about 8-10 minutes or until cookies are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on cooling rack.
